Merry Christmas Everyone!

I know it has been a while since I posted, but I have been really busy crafting away and getting ready for Christmas.
I was blessed yet again this year, with Alex being able to come home for the holidays. It is so amazing to have both of my kids in the house for 10 days. The time goes by way to fast, but I cherish each and every day.
Christmas itself was a quiet day for all of us with both of the kids out with a tummy bug, but for me it was a lovely day reflecting on how blessed I am. I also don't lose track of the fact that God sent us His Son to pay for my sins. I am always amazed by God's mercy and love.

Here are a couple of projects that I forgot to post about.
This was for the December 16th Challenge over at Just Inspirational Challenges. I am still getting the hang of blogging in time for the challenge. I am going to get a head start on the next one.

These two beautiful Lacy Sunshine Rory's were so fun to color and I made them for 2 swaps that I did for Christmas.
I colored this Lacy Sunshine for my Mom's Christmas card! I think I was on a total Lacy Sunshine roll this Christmas! They are so cute and so much fun to color!

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas, and I am really excited about what 2015 is going to bring me!

Blessings

Elizabeth Craft Designs

Happy Thursday everyone.

Last night I met with friends for our monthly card swap at Jade Cafe. If you like chinese food, this place is awesome.

So this is the card I made. I used Elizabeth Craft Designs Accordion fancy label die and their "Peel-Off Christmas ball stickers. I got to do one of my favorite things, play with glitter. I was thrilled with how the card turned out.

I am off to do some work, and hopefully I will get to color later on. Have a great day. xo

Just Inspirational Challenges

Hi everyone!

It is a beautiful Wednesday here in Texas, the weather has finally cooled off, so we are just in the 80's now. I have finally caught up after having surgery so I am finally getting to some "fun" coloring.

So this week over at Just Inspirational Challenges the theme is fall. Our sponsors for this week are Meljens Designs who are giving away 4 images to the winner. Eureka! Stamps who are giving away 3 images to the winner. Your Next Stamp who is offering a $10 Voucher to the winner.

So I used a Meljens Designs image for my card this week.
So, I loved coloring this card as it reminded me of our life in Colorado where we lived for 9 years before moving to Houston. I actually miss having the 4 seasons of Colorado. Houston has 2 seasons, Summer and not Summer! The paper I used was the Autumn Crisp collection by Amercian Crafts. I also used Orange corrugated paper from the Fall & Halloween Corrugate Stack by DCWV that I purchased from Joann Fabrics.

The copic colors that I used were:
Greens: YG61, YG63, YG61
Blues: BG72, BG75, BG78
Yellows: Y23, YR21, Y26
Browns: E70, E71, E74, E77
Oranges: YR04, YR07, YR18
Reds: R14, R24, R46, R59

The 2 leaf brads I have had for many years in my stash so I was glad to use them. I also used Winks of Stella (Clear) over the letters FALL. I was really pleased with the outcome.

So I hope you will all head over to Just Inspirational Challenges and join in all the fun!

Have a great day!

Exciting News

Hi everyone,

I have started coloring again now that I am recovering from my surgery. The surgery went well and I definitely have less pain. Still struggling with fatigue, but the less pain thing is awesome! I have been coloring, but for DT cards that cannot be released yet.

On that note, I have some exciting news. I have been asked to be on the design team for Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge. I am really excited about this challenge group. There are lots of amazing stamps companies that are letting us showcase their art, and the other DT members are so talented. The challenge goes live in January, so keep checking back with me for  updates.

Thanks for all of your prayers everyone. They were truly appreciated.

Have a blessed day.

Love from Sugar

Hi everyone,

Well today I am a little nervous as I am having surgery tomorrow, but I have tried to stay busy coloring. I finished this card yesterday for DT at Sugar, Spice and Betty Boots. She is called Love from Sugar.

Head over to The Craft Place Natter Chatter to see some of the spectacular creations being made.

I had so much fun coloring her and making this card. The paper is from DCWV called The Winter Solstice. The ribbon is from my stash and I die cut the snowflakes with some sparkly paper I also had in my stash. Around the border of my image I melted some chunky white embossing enamel with some silver and blue embossing powder and I mixed in some royal blue crushed glass. I used some white flocking on the fluffy parts of her outfit.

Have a great week everyone!
Blessings

Closet Gansta

Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a good Monday!

Now that I have given this to Hannah I can show everyone this project!

When Hannah was doing her RA training they had to tell something about themselves that nobody knew. She told everyone that she loved Rap music so they labelled her the "closet gangsta". I found this stamp from Kenny K and thought it was perfect for her so I colored it in her college colors. I just gave it to her this weekend and she loved it!

This photo was before I colored her hair. I didn't realize that I had the wrong photo on my phone so I will post another photo of her with her hair later.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Wrazzy Dazzle Button Bug Buggmee

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today we drove up to Huntsville to spend the afternoon with Hannah. Along the way we stopped at Scrapp'n Savvy. It is always fun to stop there and see Karrie and the girls there and of course to shop all of the fun product that they carry there! Jerald even enjoyed being there!

So after a long day I thought that I would share with you my latest Lacy Sunshine design called "Wrazzy Dazzle Button Bug Buggmee" (Wow what a mouthful!)

She was so much fun to color! I had never colored curly hair before so my "Skin & Hair class from Kit & Clowder definitely came in handy! But I loved being able to color in bright colors!

The Copic Colors I used are:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20

This week is kind of rough for me. I am having 2 teeth out tomorrow and next Thursday I am having 2 discs removed from my neck. I am in quite a bit of pain, so my coloring is taking a little longer than usual.

This image is from Saturated Canary. She is completely adorable. She was a lot of fun to color.

I used paper from Jillibean Soup "Birthday Bisque" 6x6 paper pad. The ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

Rory Sailing

Hi again,

I just finished this cutie and thought I might add her to today's blog.

I am absolutely in love with Lacy Sunshine's line or Rory digi stamps. I have to get each of the new one that they release, so needless to say I have a few more to color!

So I mixed things up a little on this card. Usually I am a CAS (Clean and Simple) girl, but after going to the "DistINKtive Card class at Scrapp' N Savvy last week, I had to play a little with the fun stuff that I got while I was there...

So the light house and crab are from Elizabeth Craft Designs peel-off Sticker line. I glittered the light house and crab up with Elizabeth Craft Designs "Silk Microfine Glitter" in Cool Diamond. Then I colored them with my trusty Copic Markers..

The beach is a combination of Stampendous Chunky White, and Aged Gold embossing Enamel, with a sprinkle of Royal blue and Champagne Crushed glass glitter. I then heated it up with my heat gun and I magically got sand!

Copics I used are:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 and R20 for cheeks
Hair: E31, E35, E39, E47, E79
Ribbons: R24, R27, R59
Cap and Blouse: C0, C1, C2, C3
Base of Ship's wheel: E21, E97, E08, E37
Wheel: E35, E37, E47

See you all soon!

Augie The Piglet

Happy Hump Day Everyone!

Today I colored "Augie the Piglet" by Saturated Canary. I picked her because she reminded me of the daughter of a friend who is raising a pig for Farmers Class (not sure of the name of it)

Any way, this image is adorable. The paper is from "Create Paper Farmhouse" 6x6 paper pad.
I have not added a sentiment or embellishments because I want to be able to personalize it.
My Copic Markers as always are fun to work with.

I hope everyone has a blessed day!

Rory's Giant Pumpkin

Hey Everyone!

Boy has today been a long day! I will be truly glad to have my neck fixed so that these headaches go away. I couldn't help myself, I just had to color another Rory from Lacy Sunshine. I guess it is wishful thinking to do fall colors as it is still in the 90's every day here in Houston, but she was to cute to pass up!

The paper is from "Doodlebug's Happy Harvest" 6x6 paper pad. The pumpkin is a vintage Quikutz die!

I used my trusty Copic Markers to color her. I am having so much fun these days coloring in.

I am leaving out a sentiment until I have a specific person in mind for the card.

Have a great night!

Rory Catchin" Butterflies

Happy Friday Everyone!

The paper is from "Doodlebug's Fruit Stand" 6x6 paper. The ribbon is from my stash. The flower stamp and punch is by Stampin' Up. I used Copic Markers to color her and the butterflies are colored with "Gelly Roll" glitter pens.

I hope that you love her as much as I do!

Have a great weekend!

Hi everyone,

Happy Hump Day! I am loving this short week thing! So this is my first post as a DT Member for Sugar, Spice and Betty Boots. I fell in love with this Fairy and I was looking for an excuse to make a Christmas Card so she turned out really well in Christmas colors!

The patterned paper is from "the Paper Studio's Christmas Basics" 6x6 pad. The stamp is a vintage "Stampin' Up stamp. and the ribbon is from my stash. I used my trusty Copic Markers to color her and some "Stickles" Star Dust to shine up her wings.

Exciting News!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

This morning was an exciting time for me. I was invited to be a member of the Design Team over at Sugar and Spice (this is where you can buy their awesome designs) I posted "Witchy Poo" yesterday that is one of their designs. So you will also be able to check out my work over at That Craft Place Natter Chatter!

I am so excited that I was speechless when I told Jerald about it. I am truly thankful for the opportunity that Lisa Horton has given me.

Now I am off to color some more!

Witchy Poo!

Happy Labor Day Everyone!

What's not to love about a 3 day weekend! An extra day to spend with my hubby, and an extra day to color!

So because I am at a member of Kit & Clowder Facebook group, I have had a whole new world of artists opened up to me. This week I got to know Lisa Horton over at That Craft Place. Witchy Poo is one of Lisa's new releases and she was a blast to color. What other time can you color purple hair!

If you want to improve your coloring head on over to Kit and Clowder, Alyce has a variety of classes for everyone!

I used my trusty Copic Markers to color her. The paper is from Graphic 45's "An Eerie Tale". I fell in love with this paper when I took a class to make a whole album with just this paper! Luckily I had plenty left over so I can make a few cards with the scraps.

Have a great day everyone!

Daffy Pip

Happy Thursday everyone!

Today I have for you a lovely stamp called Daffy Pip from Sugar Nellie. They are having a Design Team Call so I thought I would enter. First time ever to try so I am hopeful. Please check out their blog over at The Sugar Bowl.

Anyway, after totally psyching myself out on Tuesday and finally putting my markers away in disgust; I got up bright and early on Wednesday and had another go. I am really quite happy with the results.

The paper is from MME "Happy Day" 6x6 paper pack, and the die is from Spellbinders.

Have a great Thursday everyone!

Party Time Lucy

Hi everyone!

Well here it is Monday already! Why is it that the weeks seem so long and the weekends so short?

So as I am on a CC Designs kick right now, here is Party Time Lucy. She was really fun to color and I got to use some papers that I have had in my stash for quite a few years (Making Memories, Cosmopolitan Collection). So I love the pink and brown color combination.

I am really enjoying the classes over at Kit and Clowder. I am really happy with how my coloring has improved because of them. So if you want to improve your coloring, head on over and check out the classes.

Have a great day!

Rainy Day Birgitta

Hey Everyone!

I got up early this morning and watched the sun rise through my office window. I love that quite time of the day when everything is still fresh and quiet, before life and humidity make things loud, hot and muggy!

So anyway, today I have an offering of one of my new favorite digital stamp designers. CC Designs creates these cute little darlings called Swiss Pixies. One of the huge advantages of being a member of Kit & Clowder is that I have got to see some amazingly talented people, but also I get to see some great designers that I probably wouldn't have known about.

So with that being said, when I discovered the Swiss Pixies I had to have them. The advantage of digital stamps is that they are much, much cheaper than rubber stamps, easier to store and you can make them larger or smaller as you need.

So today I would like to introduce you to "Rainy Day Birgitta"She is totally adorable. As always I colored her with my trusty Copic Markers. The patterned paper is from Stampin' Up. The ribbon is from my stash and the butterfly is from Petaloo "Fora Doodles". The sentiment is just something that I typed up and printed out.

You will see some more Swiss Pixies in the coming days as they are totally adorable and fun to color!

Have a blessed Sunday!

New Baby

Hi everyone!

I have had a busy few days getting my swap cards done. This months theme was "Baby".

So I used one of my favorite designers, you can check her out at her blog Sylvia Zet Blog.
You can purchase the rubber stamp from Whimsy Stamps and you can get a digital copy over at
Wee Stamps.

When making this card, I realized that it is so hard to find neutral baby cards. Also hard to find neutral scrapbooking paper to make cards.

So I used mint card stock, some lemon spotty paper from my stash. The heart die cut is from Spellbinders.
The banner is made from a Stampin' Up punch.

Now I have to get busy making cards and crafty things for a craft fair that I am going to in October!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Beach Marci

Hi Everyone,

So today I decided just to play. No classes, just coloring because I wanted to. So I picked out "Beach Marci" she is available at La-La Land Crafts. I have her as a digi stamp, but I am pretty sure you can get her as a rubber stamp as well.

As always I colored her with Copic Markers. The paper I used was from a 6x6 paper pack from BoBunny called Lemonade Stand.

I had a blast coloring her and as you can tell I am into really bright colors at the moment.

Have a great day!

Miss Maya Again

Hi everyone,

Now that my Mum finally received her birthday card (it took over 2 weeks to get to her) I can post my newest version of Maya which is available at Whimsy Stamps.

I had some of this amazing paper from "Authentique" Classique: Pretty left from another card I made and I love it so much that I wanted to use it again. I am actually thinking of re-ordering some more because it is so pretty.

I am still working on my skin and hair classes over at Kit and Clowder. It is a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I am getting with the learning curve and I am improving every day. But I am definitely practicing a lot more than I used to, but I am seeing a great improvement in my coloring. If you are curious about what the lessons are all about, head over to Kit and Clowder or their Kit and Clowder Facebook Page.

Have a great day everyone!

Saturated Canary

Hi everyone,

So I know that I have been missing in action lately, but due to health issues and a rushed return to school for our daughter I have not had much time to post, and sometimes I forget to post here as well as Facebook.

I am currently taking the Skin & Hair class over at Kit and Clowder. See the link below.

If any of you are thinking of improving your coloring skills, this is definitely the place to go. The class will run you $70 but let me tell you it is so worth it. I also got a light source class for free which makes a huge difference in how you interpret an image. I am loving learning to make my images more dimensional.

So anyway, I have colored two Saturated Canary images this week.
I made Pixie Nerd for Hannah as she went back to college, and Pixie Dust Cloud to add to my supply.
They are fun images to color and I love the look of both of them.

Have a good week everyone.

Kit and Clowder

Hi Everyone,

I know it has been a while since I posted, but I have become addicted to Kit and Clowder; both on their website http://kitandclowder.ning.com/ and their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/kitandclowder/?fref=nf  Alyce does an incredible job making sure everyone has everything that they need.

I am waiting until I get paid at the end of the month to sign up for the skin and hair class. If you have not checked it out yet, head over there. There are some incredibly talented women showing off their skills. I can hardly wait to improve on my techniques.

So while I have been waiting I have spent a lot of time cleaning my Copic Markers (they work much better now!) and coloring a few www.whimsystamps.com sweeties!

This gorgeous little cuties is called Amy. I made it for my Mother-in-Law Helen when my husband and daughter went to visit them earlier this month. She is a vast improvement from the same image that I colored 6 months earlier.

Now I just have to get back in the habit of posting more regularly!

I hope that this finds everyone happy and healthy.
Blessings
Sandra
